Merithian Products Corp (“Merithian”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to providing an accessible experience for people with disabilities.
We strive to provide our services and information in a way that respects dignity, supports independence, encourages integration, and promotes equal opportunity.

Accessible Customer Service

Merithian is committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility
and meeting accessibility requirements under applicable Ontario accessibility laws, including the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA)
and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Assistive Devices

People with disabilities are welcome to use their own assistive devices to access and benefit from our services and information.
If you require assistance, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to help.

Communication and Accessible Formats

We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that consider their needs. Upon request, we will provide (or arrange for) accessible formats
and communication supports for information that we provide to the public, in consultation with the requester and in a timely manner.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in areas of our premises that are open to the public, where permitted by law. If a service animal is excluded by law, we will work with you to provide alternate ways to access our services.

Support Persons

A person with a disability may be accompanied by a support person when accessing our premises and/or services.
Where required, any applicable admission or participation requirements will be communicated in advance when possible.

Notice of Temporary Disruption

If there is a temporary disruption in facilities or services that people with disabilities rely on, we will provide notice as soon as reasonably possible.
The notice will include the reason for the disruption, the anticipated duration, and any available alternatives.

Training

Merithian provides accessibility training to team members who interact with the public and/or who develop or publish content.
Training may include:

    • the purpose of the AODA and the requirements of the customer service standard
    • how to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities
    • how to interact with people who use assistive devices, service animals, and/or support persons
    • how to assist a person with a disability who is having difficulty accessing our services or information
